Smart AI Studio — Built on an AI-Native Stack Instead of WordPress

Smart AI Studio content and SEO management dashboard displayed on a desktop monitor

Built smartaistudio.co.uk as a single AI-native application on Lovable Cloud — one platform running content, an on-site AI assistant, a lead-generating assessment, SEO operations, and lead attribution, instead of a WordPress site stitched together from plugins.

The problem

Most consultancy sites run on WordPress, and for a while that's fine. But a content-led consultancy outgrows it fast. Want an on-site AI assistant that actually knows your articles? Bolt on a plugin. Want a diagnostic that scores a prospect and emails them a branded report? Bolt on another. Want to know what happened after the form was submitted? You mostly don't. Yoast gives a green light on a page Google hasn't even indexed. Every new capability is another plugin that doesn't talk to the others.

What we did

Built the site as one React application on Lovable Cloud — managed Postgres, serverless edge functions, object storage, authentication, an AI Gateway to Gemini, and transactional email, all on one platform. No plugins, no separate CRM, no second database for the chatbot.

The result

Every part of the site runs as a measurable loop rather than a static feature: assessment completions, click-through on report emails, booked calls attributed to those clicks, and GSC impressions week over week. Because it's one platform, those numbers come from the same place that runs the site — not five disconnected tools.

The takeaway

Most consultancy sites bolt AI onto WordPress and hope the pieces talk to each other. This one was built the other way round — one platform, so every loop, from first visit to booked call, reads and writes to the same place. It doesn't just do more. It knows what happened after.

Frequently asked questions

Why was Smart AI Studio not built on WordPress?

The site needed capabilities a traditional CMS struggles with: a grounded AI assistant, build-time SEO prerendering, an assessment engine and operational analytics. An AI-native stack delivers all of this as one coherent system.

What tool was used to build it?

The entire platform was built with Lovable, an AI-native development platform.

What can the platform do that a typical website cannot?

It includes a knowledge-grounded AI chat assistant, automated SEO tooling with Google Search Console data, an AI readiness assessment with PDF reports and email follow-up, and a full content management system.

Is an AI-native stack harder to maintain?

No. Content is managed through an admin interface, publishing is automated, and the build process generates fast, fully prerendered pages, without plugin updates or the maintenance overhead of a traditional CMS.
